Hi dolls
Cathy's outfit today puts me in the mood of dressing up. Uuuuh but then again I'm done with the events for the year :-(, good thing is its family time
Back to the outfit, Cathy with her imagination told me how she is planning on making this dress and I didn't get the point until I saw it on her. The materials were picked from Kariakoo and Mwenge - i love Dar nowadays - everything is here!

Be inspired - Slim gals

Hi dolls,
So I've been asked why we are yet to post anything on slim gals. Ok here it is
A lot of us beleive slim gals/women have it easy when it comes to pulling a look.. well it is but not everything works for them.. What I could say is  the biggest assets slim women have is their waist/flat tummies, legs (yes legs - slim long pins are in- check out the celebrities) and the fact that they do not need a bra to pull a look!. But again, my opinion on going about a look - always is;

1.Work your assets, legs, waist, back!
 show them long legs

who said skinny legs dont look good, get your look alike skirt from Ventured style

If a curvy lady tried this, it will be so trashy

2. For a fuller, you accentuate your waist

Office party

Hi dolls
Its Monday again, We are thankful for yet another day. What  I want to day is to ask you viewers on ideas that I have.
My office end of the year party is just around the corner and I am abit physched on the ideas that I have. These ideas are combination of my web-browsing and good friends ideas. I have the advantage of having the fundis at my disposal so this is what I have in mind. What do you think?

1. Do a  sexy Kitenge outfit with a western touch

Its easy to get sequin material and pull this look, although the boob area is abit too exposed for me
Yes yes I might not have this body but I can definitely pool the look - confidence what! what!. I will use the Masai  material

2. Do a touch of kitenge/other material on dull outfit
a kitenge peter pan collar

I have this gold sequin that i can make it to this
I have this fitted dress that i can add lather on
3. Lace it up

This lace is easy to obtain

So what do you think?, what should I go for?
:-)

Peplum moment

Hi dolls,
As agreed by many, we will see more of peplums towards the end of the year. Majority of us ....okay, me - I confess that when I tried my first peplum top, lets just say it was not a match made in heaven  and later on I came to understand why;
For a peplum to fit well you should consider the following:
1. Fit - a proper fit on the waist is required... that works for me - the fit at the waist that creates the whole effect
2. What to pair it with -  For a peplum top, always pair it with fitted pencil skirt or a skin jeans; as Stella of Jadore Fashion will say, "if its full at the top keep the bottom fitted and smooth".

Be inspired- curvy gals

Hi everyone!,
Now this is that time of the year where we have so many events, so many functions, you must have been on your toes on what to wear. I think every woman will agree with me that from time to time we all believe that our bodies do not fit nicely in a certain outfits or designs.
Well today I have decided to start with curvy ladies. You ladies are extra blessed in some areas. My opinion is (please share yours) if its too tight or too revealing its trashy. For an outfit to emulate class and confidence it should fit you well. If its a fit-cut then it should be just tight enough and not too tight. The other thing is how much should you reveal - if you have decided to reveal up then i suggest the bottom should be covered and vice versa

Skin at the top, wrapped up at the bottom
